“Recover” is quite a word. Depression is always something that can come back – but – if you have recovered, you will have the tools to understand what it is that is happening and you can take the time to step back, look at it, and deal with it right away.
For me, true recovery is not the elimination of depression, although I can honestly say that I am no longer suffering from depression, but most important of all? I know how to recognize it, I know how to confront it and I know how to beat it. THAT is real “recovery” to me.
