    From Quora

We have seen a lot of responses here that either claim ownership of a definition and/or who appear to be making claims based on “facts” that not everyone ascribes to.

The Sinclair method has worked for many. And yes – it has been a disaster for many too. But to be fair, AA has been a disaster for many just as well.

CBT, cognitive behavioural therapy, has a lot of success too. SMART uses cbt – and SMART has been a success for many too.

Fact is that if you want to stop, you need to find the system that will help you stop. Don’t be afraid to try something. But also – don’t lie to yourself as you go through things.

Good luck – if you are accepting that this is what you want and are looking to stop? You are already further along than most. 🙂
